Yes it’s true! Try it.
Yesterday, my daughter managed to drop a few CDs onto our laminate floor. I then tried to pick them up, but to my surprise, found that I was actually unable to pick any of them up with just using my hands!!! I never ever realised this, did you?
Anyway, after spending a good 5 minutes trying to collect one disc from the floor using my fingers and fingernail, and trying to slide the disc against the skirting board to see if I could flick it up etc. (and getting really frustrated!!! Especially since I had about 6 of them to collect), I managed to resolve the problem by sliding the thinnest piece of paper that I could find in the house under it and then lifting the disc up.
Then I thought to myself – is there a device out there, such as a gentle sucker or something similar, that can be used for this purpose? And if not, then I think someone needs to invent one! Especially for those with young children who can’t help themselves but to through discs onto the floor!
